About ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Grant Funding

ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ (ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½) provides grant funding to support ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Citizenship Education (GCE) in post-primary settings on the island of Ireland. 

Individual Grants for Post-Primary Education Settings

Annual grant funding is available to support and promote ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Citizenship Education in individual post-primary education settings.

Eligible post-primary education settings for the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ programme include post-primary schools, Youthreach Centres and alternative post-primary education setting providers. Find out more...

Grants Selection Committee

Funding allocations under the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Annual Grant Call are awarded by  an external Grants Selection Committee in line with published assessment criteria. To date this committee has included representation from:

  • Irish Aid
  • Department of Education
  • °Õ°ù󳦲¹¾±°ù±ð
  • Concern Worldwide
  • CDETB
  • Self Help Africa
  • National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA)

All grant funding options provided by the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ programme are subject at all times to funding availability and eligibility.

ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Expense Claims

In addition to grant funding, ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ provides funding support for schools to reimburse costs incurred through participation in ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ training and events throughout the school year. This is intended as a contribution towards participation costs that may be incurred by some schools. It covers Teacher Substitution Claims and Travel Expense Claims and further information is available on both of these in our Expense Claims section.
